We expect the new SEMA Show model to get its power from a Tesla-derived motor and battery pack, giving it up to 500kW of output. That should make for some seriously impressive straight-line performance figures, with the new Dodge Charger Daytona EV capable of hitting 60mph in just over 2 seconds.

Of course, with big power comes plenty of heat, so we expect that Dodge will equip the all-electric Charger Daytona with a large cooling system to keep things running smoothly. And while it might not be as loud or flashy as the classic Charger Daytona, we’re sure that this new electric model will still be an exciting addition to the SEMA Show lineup.

Dodge teased its upcoming Charger Daytona SRT in a new “Stryker Red” paint finish at the show. The Charger Daytona SRT’s 400V battery-electric powertrain is claimed to be good for anywhere between 340 and 500kW of peak power depending on the trim and ‘stage’ tune (there are six possible combinations).

However, Dodge also stipulated that an 800V version is in the works and should elevate performance outputs even further. At least some of this 800V electrical architecture technology could be derived or pinched straight from the 610kW/800Nm Maserati GranTurismo Folgore.

The GranTurismo Folgore is a special, high-performance version of Maserati’s existing GranTurismo. It features a revised 4.7-liter V8 engine with enlarged turbochargers, a new exhaust system, and enhanced cooling. The result is610kW of power and 800Nm of torque – impressive figures that show just what Dodge’s engineers are capable of. We can’t wait to see what they do with the 800V electrical architecture.
