Porsche has revealed two new special edition models of its 718 sports car, both of which are based on the GTS trim level. The new Style Editions are available in either Cayman or Boxster guise, and each one comes with a unique set of exterior and interior upgrades. Read on to learn more about what sets these special edition Porsche 718s apart from the rest.
Exterior Upgrades for the 718 Style Editions
Porsche has added several cosmetic enhancements to the exterior of the 718 Style Editions to set them apart from the regular GTS models. These include 20-inch alloy wheels finished in black, red brake calipers, sport Chrono packages, and black exhaust tips. The Cayman version also gets a fixed rear spoiler, while the Boxster gets an electrically operated convertible soft top.
Interior Upgrades for the 718 Style Editions
Inside, both the Cayman and Boxster Style Editions come with 14-way power-adjustable sports seats upholstered in black Alcantara. The headrests have been embossed with the Porsche crest, and there’s also a special “Style Edition” logo on the center console. Additional standard features include a Bose surround sound audio system and navigation.
Performance Upgrades for the 718 Style Editions
The Cayman and Boxster Style Editions come equipped with the same upgraded 4.0-liter flat-six engine found in the regular GTS models. This engine produces 395 horsepower and 309 lb-ft of torque, enough to propel the Cayman from 0-60 mph in just 3.9 seconds and the Boxster in 4.0 seconds. Top speeds are clocked at 182 mph for the Cayman and 180 mph for the Boxster.
If you’re a Porsche fan and live in the United States, this will be great news for you. The German automaker has just revealed seven special edition models based on the 718 sports cars, including the Cayman and Boxster. The only difference between the regular and these seven Style editions is that they will be offered in exclusive colors, which are Racing Yellow, Miami Blue, and Carmine Red.
Porsche will also include some extra features on these special edition models to make things even better for American customers. These new cars will benefit from Bi-Xenon headlights as standard, but a BOSE audio system and navigation will also be included. This isn’t all that special, but it’s still fine because you’re dealing with a 718 Boxster/Cayman, which is already well-equipped.
Alongside these three standard colors, Porsche will offer two other Exclusive color options: Rhodium Silver metallic and Miami Blue. All these colors were previously seen on the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport race car, which was revealed at last year’s Los Angeles Auto Show. The other two special colors are Lava Orange and White Silver.
The first thing that stands out with these cars is the striking color scheme. Porsche has decided to paint the vehicles bright red or yellow – a bold choice, but it certainly highlights their sporty look and design.
But that’s not all; these cars also include unique interior details. For example, you can expect Alcantara leather seats with contrasting stitching and sporty gear-shifting paddles made from magnesium alloy.
The black exterior features are the first thing you’ll notice about the new Style Editions. These include Boxster Spyder-spec 20-inch alloys and exhaust outlets, which contrast with silver ‘Porsche’ rear badging. The Boxster also ups the ante over its coupe sibling with silver ‘Boxster’ script embossed into the roof above the windows. Still, both models are available in an exclusive Ruby Star Neo paint finish inspired by the classic 964-series Porsche 911 Carrera RS. These features give the Style Editions a unique and stylish look. Inside, you’ll find a cabin just as well-appointed as the exterior.
The seats are upholstered in leather, and there is a Bose sound system to enjoy. The Style Editions are also equipped with a 7-speed PDK transmission and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). Whether you’re looking for a unique style or performance-oriented features, the Style Editions have what you’re looking for.

Lastly, the brakes are very responsive, making it easy to stop quickly when necessary.
